Meet Our Midwife
Diana Buckwalter has been a Nurse Midwife for many years. Her desire to work with women and babies began when she was a young girl. Diana received her nursing degree from Regis University while mothering 7 children. She worked as a nurse in labor and delivery for many years. While working in labor and delivery Diana gained experience helping moms have babies and also helping them to achieve the experience they desired. She continued her education with a master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner followed by a post master's as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM). Her philosophy stresses women having a positive pregnancy and childbirth experience. Safety is never compromised. A healthy mom and baby is of the utmost importance. South Denver OB GYN has 4 outstanding physicians to assist with any complication that may arise.
Paige Corbett has been committed to family centered care for over twenty years. In addition to being a certified nurse midwife, Paige is also a certified lactation educator and has worked with many breast feeding families. Ultimately, Paige enjoys blending these two specialties to promote and empower family harmony and maternal-infant wellness. Paige believes it is her duty to provide objective information to allow her patients to direct their health care or birth experience. Paige hopes to translate her joy of caring for others to the patients and families she has the honor of serving. She hopes to walk alongside her patients during their personal journey. She provides health care to women in various life stages including adolescence, reproduction, and menopause. Obviously patient safety is her number one priority as well as providing personalized care. Paige attended Regis University to complete her first Master's Degree in Nursing in the specialty of Family Nurse Practitioner. She then attended Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in order to complete an additional Master's Degree in Nursing in the specialty of Nurse Midwifery. She is board certified in both specialties. Paige is happily married and has two outgoing daughters. Her family is very active and together they enjoy hiking, camping, sports and a large network of family and friends. She lives in Castle Rock. Paige was raised in Anchorage, Alaska where she enjoyed an active lifestyle in the outdoors with her mom, dad and older brother. She enjoyed tagging along with her father who was a physician. Her father would allow her to accompany him to visit patients in the hospital on weekends; these were her earliest lessons in "healing, hearing and comforting" patients. Ultimately she hopes to carry on in the tradition of her father who embraced a particular element of the quote by the father of modern medicine, Hippocrates. The quote states "To heal sometimes, to remedy often and to comfort always". It is the final words in this quote her father exemplified and she aspires to fulfill: "To comfort always".
